Manchester United‘s hopes of signing Alexis Sanchez have been boosted after the Arsenal squad pleaded with Arsene Wenger to get rid of Alexis Sanchez before the Gunners’ next game.
Sanchez, 30, is keen on moving to Old Trafford but his move is dependent on Henrikh Mkhitaryan agreeing to join the Gunners.
TheChilean has clashed with a number of his team-mates during the last 12 months and they believe his attitude and form have dropped since he was denied a move to Manchester City on deadline day last summer.
With Mkhitaryan holding up the deal, it looks as if negotiations could drag on but the Arsenal squad have told Wenger they want Sanchez gone before Saturday’s clash against Crystal Palace, according to the Evening Standard. Sanchez has clashed with his team-mates in the last 12 months.
Despitehis ability, Sanchez is now seen as a hindrance by his team-mates and they want the Chilean to leave so that there’s full focus going into the second half of the season.
Mkhitaryan’s agent, Mino Raiola, sent a public message to the Gunners yesterday insisting that the Armenian’s wage demands must be met if he’s to move to the Emirates.
Jose Mourinho angered by Henrikh Mkhitaryan demand ‘Manchester United is not going to sign Sanchez unless Mkhi agrees to join Arsenal,’ Raiola told The Times. ‘Sanchez is part of the Mkhi deal, not the other way around.’
