Incredibly, out of absolutely nowhere, Nike have seemingly confirmed that Philippe Coutinho is Barcelona-bound.
The Brazilian was heavily linked with making the move to the Nou Camp in the summer, but Liverpool refused to even entertain any offers that came their way and Coutinho stayed put at Anfield.
The former Inter man has got on with things brilliantly and been a class act on the pitch for the Reds. However, the Barca interest just won’t go away and fans were sent into a frenzy in the early hours of Sunday morning courtesy of a paragraph on Nike’s official website.
At first, I was sceptical and thought it was a fake photoshop but my eyes were not deceiving me, it’s genuinely legitimate.
“Philippe Coutinho is ready to light up Camp Nou. Get your 2017/18 FC Barcelona kit
with the Magician’s name on it. Act fast – free personalisation only available until 6 January.” is the sentence which has Liverpool fans around the world raging.
It’s since been deleted but as we know, it’s too late as far as Nike are concerned – the world footballing world has seen the leak.
Is Coutinho’s massive move to Barcelona finally happening? Could there be another logical explanation?
