Dortmund forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has fueled speculation he’s set to join Arsenal by leaving training with a number of his possessions on Monday
The Gabon international is keen on moving to the Emirates and Arsenal chief Ivan Gazidis held talks with the Bundesliga club about a deal for Aubameyang on Sunday. Arsene Wenger admitted on Tuesday that a deal for the striker is ‘possible’ but he was coy about the potential of Olivier Giroud moving the other way – a detail of the transfer that is thought to be crucial to Dortmund agreeing to letting the forward go.

The 28-year-old’s move to the Emirates appears to be in the balance but he’s hinted he could be on his way to the Emirates by loading his car with a number of packages after training.
Aubameyang’s former team-mate, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, completed his move to Arsenal yesterday in a swap deal that saw Alexis Sanchez join Manchester United. The Armenian appeared to drop a hint that Aubameyang could join the Gunners in a behind-the-scenes video at his unveiling.
The Gunners are believed to be willing to offer Giroud and around £40m for Aubameyang but Dortmund are seeking closer to £52m. Wenger dismissed the club’s interest in Aubameyang a fortnight ago but new head of recruitment, Sven Mislintat, is said to have played a pivotal role in the club’s move for the Gabon star.
